The Millennium Green covers around three and a half acres in a conservation area at the centre of Mansfield Woodhouse. Open to the public, it comprises a mix of grassland, scrub and hedgerows which are valuable for wildlife. It provides excellent views over the historic centre of the village, and provides a peaceful place to sit and watch nature and the world go by.

The River Maun meanders through this reserve eventually entering Field Mill Pond. The Mill Pond attracts a wide variety of birds including Little Grebes and breeding Mute Swans. The Maun Conservation Group works alongside Mansfield District Council to preserve this green jewel close to the centre of Mansfield.
